Lady Saints finish regular season strong

The Lady Saints softball team shut out Kenston Forest School to end the season strong.
The Nansemond-Suffolk Academy softball team finished with a regular-season record of 18-1 after their 15-0 win over Kenston Forest on the road Friday. Madison Inscoe and Reese Byrd both pitched and allowed one hit for the game. Inscoe earned the win, as she struck out six.
Addy Greene went 4-4 with two runs and two RBIs. Madi Wilson went 3-4 with three runs and a RBI and a triple. NSA totaled 16 hits as a team. NSA scored nine runs in the second inning alone, which gave them an 11-0 lead as the Lady Saints cruised to a five-inning win. NSA had five doubles as a team, with Jessica Chang leading the way with two.
NSA will host Hampton Roads Academy at home for the first round of the conference tournament at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday.
