The Nansemond-Suffolk Academy baseball team has been rolling as of late. The team won its third consecutive game with a 5-2 win over Norfolk Academy on Tuesday.
NSA got things started in the first inning, immediately going up 3-0. They scored two more innings in the fourth to go up 5-0. Norfolk Academy added its only runs for the game in the sixth, but it wasn’t enough.
Nic Psimas and Kieran Conway handled pitching duties for the Saints. Psimas was awarded the win after allowing five hits and striking out six in six innings. Zac Morris went 2-4 with one run and two RBIs.
NSA will face Cape Henry Collegiate at home at 4:30 p.m. Thursday. In this week’s Virginia Independent Schools Athletic Association Division II baseball poll, the Saints were ranked No. 8.
