Suffolk man slain in Norfolk

A Suffolk man has been identified as the victim of a fatal shooting in Norfolk on Thursday night.
Patrick M. Cochrane, 25, was found suffering from a gunshot wound inside a car just after 9:30 p.m. in the 700 block of East Little Creek Road when Norfolk Police Department responded to a report of a single-vehicle crash, according to a Norfolk press release.
Cochrane was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, where he later died.
Investigation revealed that Cochrane was initially shot in the 7900 block of Orchid Avenue, the press release stated.
