UPDATED: According to the accident report, the operator of the dirt bike was at fault, and the pickup truck was sitting still in the turn lane.

Earlier: A juvenile on a dirt bike and a pickup truck collided on East Washington Street Wednesday evening.

The accident happened at 5:21 p.m. in the 700 block of East Washington Street, according to a city press release.

Suffolk Police and Suffolk Fire and Rescue responded to find the operator of the dirt bike, a juvenile, suffering from injuries not believed to be life-threatening. The juvenile, a male, was taken by ground ambulance to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, the press release stated.

The driver of the truck was not injured. The roadway was closed for about 30 minutes following the crash.

The accident is under investigation.
