A man who was charged with arson in an East Washington Street fire has been indicted on a charge of attempted murder.

Tyson Maurice Watkins, 26, was charged with starting a fire that seriously injured a man, who had to be airlifted by Nightingale to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with serious injuries.

Watkins was one of 55 defendants indicted on 109 charges by the grand jury Monday.
