Vincent Echols, son of Jonathan and Victoria Echols, of Suffolk, became Troop 16’s 100th Eagle Scout earlier this month in a ceremony at Beech Grove Methodist Church in Driver.
Many of the troop’s Eagle Scouts attended the ceremony, where Vincent was recognized for his many accomplishments and dedication to Scouting.
Vincent started his scouting career in Cub Scout Pack 89 in Driver in the pack’s Panda program, even before he was eligible to join Cub Scouts. Once Vincent became of age, he joined Pack 89 and advanced to Arrow of Light. As a Boy Scout in Troop 16, Vincent earned all required merit badges, attended many summer camps and camporees and achieved Scouting’s highest honor, Eagle Scout, after completing his Eagle project.
His brother and fellow Eagle Scout, Jay Echols, participated in the ceremony.
