Grassfield High School boys’ basketball team got the best of the Cavs Monday night.
The Cavs were unable to tame Grassfield as they took a 68-49 loss at home Monday night. Lakeland didn’t have any players score in double figures, but Quentin Livingston led the team in scoring with nine points.
Lakeland allowed four Grassfield players to score in double digits. However, the Cavs will get a chance to bounce back against a tough Western Branch High School team at home at 7 p.m. Friday. In their last meeting, the Cavs took the Bruins down to the wire. The Bruins are considered among the top boys’ basketball teams in Hampton Roads this season.
