Donna Lou McCray Strait passed away peacefully in her sleep and went to be with her Lord on Jan. 18, 2018.

She was born in Ashville, Ohio, on Dec. 5, 1928. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Emerson A. Strait. She has lived in Virginia for the past three years with her daughter and son-in-law, Janet K. Blackmon and John L. Blackmon.

She worked at Motorists Mutual, then as a secretary for her husband and then retired.

She was a dedicated and loving wife and mother and enjoyed participating in family activities.

She is also survived by her son, Douglas E. Strait; granddaughter and family, Lindsay P. and Chris L. Huneycutt, and two great-grandsons, Cayden and Lexton. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Peg McCray, and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mom and dad, Page H. McCray and Carolyn Cordray McCray; brothers, Charles McCray, Bill McCray and Jeanne Meloy McCray.
