To the editor:

I am honored to support my friend, Emily Brewer, for election as Delegate from the 64^th House of Delegates District on Nov. 7.

I’ve known Emily personally for years. She has always had a servant’s heart, and she is always willing to help someone in need. Emily isn’t running for a title; she is running because of what is going on next door and what is going on down the street.

Emily wants to help our neighbors and make our community the best possible place to live and to keep our jobs and families here, instead of moving away to find opportunity.
We need to elect more leaders like Emily, who will fight for those that make our communities safe.

This year, I worked on legislation that would allow for a real property tax exemption for surviving spouses of soldiers killed in a combat zone. I support Emily, because I know she is the best choice for our veterans and our members of our military.

She will be a strong voice for our region who will fight for the values you and I hold so dear. As one of the senators overlapping the 64th District, I can proudly say I look forward to working with Emily and serving you, together, in Richmond.
