Grayson impressing at ECU

Former Bulldog Davon Grayson has been putting up solid numbers at wide receiver for East Carolina University.
The Pirates are currently 1-4 on the season, but a silver lining to their season so far has been how well Grayson has played. Through five games, he has 29 catches for 495 yards and five touchdowns. He is averaging 99 yards per game and is on track for 1,188 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns on the season.
He had his biggest game of the season thus far against the University of Connecticut, where he posted 11 catches for 223 yards and three touchdowns. He also became the fifth receiver in school history with more than 200 yards in a game. As the season goes on, Grayson will attract the attention of NFL scouts, which could lead to him being the second Bulldog drafted next year in 2018.
Grayson was in position to move into the No. 1 receiver spot on the team after Zay Jones was drafted back in April. He has made the most of his opportunities as Grayson quietly continues to make a name for himself on the national level.
ECU will face Temple University at noon Saturday. Look for Grayson once again to be an integral part of the Pirates offense.
