An estate sale is set for next weekend for the belongings of former Suffolk Mayor Andy Damiani.
Damiani, who died on Aug. 5, left behind a loft apartment full of beautiful antique furniture, as well as some nearly new medical equipment, all of which will be for sale.
Elsie Brinkley will handle the sale.
“I have been asked to be the agent to sell this, since I was in the antique business and know a little bit about pricing things,” she said.
Brinkley said most of the furniture isn’t terribly old, but there are some nice pieces, including several Henkel Harris pieces. There’s several chests, a slat-front desk, a conference table with six chairs and more.
There is an almost-new electric adjustable bed, an almost-new lift recliner and a new wheelchair, Brinkley said.
There are brass lamps, pictures and mirrors, but not a lot of bric-a-brac, Brinkley said.
“He didn’t have a lot of clutter,” she said.
The sale will be held at Damiani’s loft apartment, 140 W. Washington St. It will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 30 and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 1.
