Chuck Clark has been making the most of his opportunities for the Baltimore Ravens this August.

The former King’s Fork High School football standout has been impressing the Ravens since he was drafted back in April. Through training camp and three preseason games, Clark has found a way to impress the Ravens coaches and upper management, whether it be on defense or special teams.

Ravens Assistant General Manager Eric DeCosta named Clark was one of the top four players who have stood out to him this year when asked by BaltimoreRavens.com. DeCosta had these comments about Clark:

“Later-round draft pick, we liked him on tape, but he has really shown to us … We liked him on special teams in college quite a bit, but he has shown to us that he is really a viable safety, and he is going to be a guy that pays dividends for us down the road. We’re excited about him and think he has a really good chance to help us.”

Clark has been able to show good field awareness both in games and in practice. Spectators say Clark is always around the ball. Early on, Clark will be a contributor on special teams, but could step in if needed in case an injury at safety happens.

During the Ravens’ last preseason game against the Buffalo Bills, Clark lead the team in defensive snaps with 57 and special team snaps with 17. This week wraps up the NFL preseason, and it looks like Clark will not only make the team but have a chance to work his way up to more reps.
