Bon Secours Hampton Roads has announced a partnership with Emergency Medicine Associates, a provider of emergency medical services to hospitals in the mid-Atlantic region.
The partnership includes Bon Secours Maryview Medical Center in Portsmouth, Bon Secours Health Center at Harbour View in Suffolk and Bon Secours DePaul Medical Center in Norfolk.
“Bon Secours periodically evaluates our contracted agreements with health care providers, and we believe that Emergency Medicine Associates is our best choice to assist our emergency departments in reaching our health system’s high standards for quality, department performance and patient engagement,” said Michael K. Kerner, chief executive officer at Bon Secours Hampton Roads Health System. “We look forward to working more closely with their team.”
Since February 2016, EMA has been providing the professional staffing and management services to the emergency departments at Bon Secours Mary Immaculate Hospital in Newport News, at Memorial Regional Medical Center and Richmond Community Hospital in Richmond, and at Rappahannock General Hospital.
“We’re excited about our partnership with Bon Secours,” Tina Latimer, regional medical director with EMA, stated in a press release announcing the partnership. “The mission of Bon Secours resonates deeply with EMA’s commitment to providing safe, high quality, efficient medical care for every patient.”
