Lightning caused Sunday house fire

Preliminary investigation into a fire on Quince Road Sunday afternoon found that it started due to a lightning strike, according to a city press release.
The fire was reported at 5:10 p.m. in the 6600 block of Quince Road.
The first units to arrive on scene found fire showing from the roof of the two-story home, according to a city press release. It was contained to the attic area and was marked under control at 5:41 p.m. No injuries were reported.
Two adults and three children were displaced but did not require assistance.
Holland Volunteer Fire Department responded along with Suffolk Fire & Rescue crews. Carrsville Volunteer Fire Department responded but were able to clear the scene upon responding.
