New shopping and dining options are progressing to their fall debut in the Harbour View area.

Construction of two new retail centers on Harbour View Boulevard is steadily progressing toward an estimated completion date of Nov. 1, according to Troy Parker, managing broker and partner of Parker Burnell Real Estate Group.

Crews broke ground on the new buildings on April 1. One of them will span about 7,000 square feet and the other about 13,000 square feet. Four tenants have signed leases, while three more are in negotiations for spaces, Parker said.

Coastal Vision optometry signed a lease for space in the new shopping area, along with a nail salon.

Dining options will include Mexican cuisine chain Tijuana Flats, Mediterranean café chain Zoë’s Kitchen and Metro Diner, a national chain that originated in Jacksonville, Fla. Restaurants will have outdoor patio seating, allowing customers to enjoy the landscaping and weather.

“You’ve got these national restaurants coming into Harbor view to give the people that shop in Harbour View other options to shop and dine at,” Parker said.

The retail centers will be adjacent to a property that will house Lidl grocery store. Lidl is one of the largest grocery chains in Europe. Officials expect the increasing population density of the area will continue to support the growth in retail in the area.
