Kathryn Overton Amici, 55, of Suffolk, passed away June 22, 2017. She was born in Gates County, N.C., to the late Earnest and Julia Mizelle. She worked as a chef at Nansemond-Suffolk Academy.

Kathryn is survived by her husband, Kenny Amici; sisters, Shirley Belangia and Denise Shammari; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life service will be held Wednesday, June 28, 2017, at 6 p.m. at Open Door Church, 816 Kings Fork Road, Suffolk, VA 23434, with the Rev. Tony Peaks officiating. Condolences may be registered online at www.parrfuneralhome.com.
