Suffolk police made four arrests last week in a narcotics sting operation.

Police have charged George Gates Jr., 27; Lucas Britt, 29; Darnell Ward; 25; and Milton Williams, 28, with one count each of distribution of cocaine and one count each of conspiracy to commit a felony.

According to city spokeswoman Debbie George, members of the Suffolk Police Department Neighborhood Enforcement Team conducted the sting Friday after observing suspicious activity and conducting follow-up investigations in the Jericho area of the city.

Police recovered 64 crack rocks, 19 bags of powder cocaine and more than $700 in cash, George said.
