Physiotherapy Associates has changed its name to Select Physical Therapy and Select Kids Pediatric Therapy, a change that affects four area locations, including one in Suffolk.

Physiotherapy Associates, a national provider of outpatient physical and occupational rehabilitation and prosthetic and orthotic services, had 560 locations in 28 states.

In February 2016, Select Medical Holdings Corporation of Mechanicsburg, Pa., purchased Physiotherapy Associates. The acquisition introduced specialized pediatric therapy services to the Select Medical portfolio of services.

The Physiotherapy Associates location at 5859 Harbourview Boulevard in Suffolk will carry both the Select Physical Therapy and Select Kids names, providing adult and pediatric physical therapy services including pediatric occupational therapy, vestibular rehabilitation, work conditioning, dry needling, pediatric speech therapy and TMJ rehabilitation.
