Cavs take down Greyhounds

Lakeland High School’s baseball team defeated I.C. Norcom High School in a Conference 27 matchup Thursday.
The Cavs won their third game of the week after defeating Norcom 11-2. Lakeland’s biggest inning came in the fifth, where they tallied eight runs. During that inning, Jordan White had a ground out. Tyler Spencer and Cody Anderson each scored runs.
Both teams combined for 13 errors, with Lakeland having six of them. Outside of that, Demonta Hawkins went 2-3 with two runs scored. Andrew Kelley got the win for his pitching duties Thursday. Kelley also went 2-3 from the plate.
Cavs will now start preparing for the Conference 27 tournament.
