Ms. Taylor was born in Suffolk. She is the daughter of Valerie Burton. She is the eldest of three siblings. Ms. Taylor received her high school diploma from Lakeland High School in 1994. She later received an Associates in Arts and Science in 1997, and a master’s degree in clinical social work from Norfolk State University in 2001.

Mr. Ronald Boone Jr was also born in Suffolk. He is the son of Edna Boone and Ronald Boone Sr. He is next to the youngest of four siblings. Ronald Boone Jr. received his high school diploma in 1993 from Lakeland High School. He later pursued an education at Paul D. Camp Community College. Mr. Boone also later received a state certification as a pest control technician from Virginia (2014), North Carolina (2010) and Florida (2015). He is currently employed as a pest control technician in Florida. The wedding celebration was held in Miami Gardens, Fla.
