Cavs fall in close one

Lakeland High School baseball team lost a close matchup against Wilson High School Thursday afternoon.

The Cavs were in a back-and-forth affair with Wilson on the road. Lakeland lost the game 11-10 in a strong effort by the Cavs. Lakeland was down by six runs going into the fifth inning. A strong comeback effort saw the Cavs come up just short.

Cody Anderson had four hits and four singles on the afternoon. Lakeland totaled 19 hits. John Cooke and Andrew Kelley had pitching duties.

Lakeland will be on the road Tuesday to take on Phoebus High School.
