Wrestling fans will have a treat during a Saturday fundraiser for the Salvation Army.

Vanguard Championship Wrestling will put on a show at the Salvation Army, 400 Bank St., and the proceeds will benefit the Salvation Army.

“It’s just extra funds we need to continue to help the community,” said Lt. Johnny Anthony of the Salvation Army. “If someone needs hotel assistance, we can put them up in a hotel for a couple nights. It just goes to our general fund.”

This is the second fundraiser Vanguard Championship Wrestling will put on for the Salvation Army. The first one was a success, Anthony said.

“The first one was very good,” he said.

The special guest will be Brutus “The Barber” Beefcake, of World Wrestling Federation and World Championship Wrestling fame.

Also on the card will be The Hellcats versus Noise Pollution, Benjamin Banks versus Hax Bandito, The Juggernaut versus Irvin Legend, Timmy Danger (with Neil Sharkey) versus Asaafi, and VCW Commonwealth Heritage Champion Gino versus Big Sean Studd, the son of former WWF wrestling Big John Studd.

Ringside seats go for a $20 donation, and general seating is a $15 donation.

A 6 p.m. meet-and-greet and photo opportunity with Brutus “The Barber” Beefcake will also be available. A photo opportunity costs $25, with autographed items also available.

Wrestling begins at 7:30 p.m.
