To the editor:

I would like to thank the Suffolk Parks and Recreation for therapeutic recreation specialist Maribel Bracke.

We have been attending the programs for almost a year, and this has been the best experience for my family.

I have a son with autism and ADHD who has attended the program. It has helped him, as well as me. We have both become more confident in ourselves and how we interact with each other.

The program has created a place I can interact with other parents. My son has made friends with the kids from the other families and attended other social outings with them. It has been a fun and eye-opening experience.

I would like to thank Maribel Bracke for all her hard work and dedication to helping families with disabilities. We appreciate her help and support in teaching our loved one to be more independent and giving us tools to make it happen.
