Lady Saints still rolling

Nansemond-Suffolk Academy’s softball team defeated Manteo High School 11-0 on the road Friday afternoon.

The Lady Saints are now 14-2. In NSA’s last three games, the Lady Saints have outscored opponents a combined 34-0.

In the game against Manteo, NSA scored seven runs in the fifth inning.

The Lady Saints scored on singles by Emerson Puzey, Madi Wilson and Jessica Chang. Puzey and Gabby Infranco each hit home runs for the Lady Saints.

Puzey and Reese Byrd had pitching duties on the afternoon. They only allowed one hit. In the past two games, NSA’s pitching core has only allowed two hits.

NSA will play Isle of Wight Academy on the road at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday.
