To the editor:

I couldn’t be more excited to support my friend, Emily Brewer, in the Republican primary for delegate in the 64th District on June 13.

As the former chairman and founder of Western Tidewater Young Republicans and a Republican activist in the region, Emily is the best choice for the GOP in this race.

The reason is because of her passion for the Western Tidewater region and the fact that she is the only candidate running that truly understands the issues millennials face in the region.
We need to elect leaders, not followers, and Emily is a leader.

The problem Virginia has run into is that we are sending more politicians to Richmond than ever. Emily is not and has never been a politician; she is a small-business owner.

I want my delegate to look out for individuals and small-businesses, not to be in the pocket of lobbyists, special interests and big government.
Americans sent a message in 2016 that we want new perspective in leadership. Emily is the only candidate in this race who is not a politician and the only candidate who has not raised taxes.

I am glad to support Emily Brewer in the Republican primary on June 13, and I hope you will join me.
