Police investigate auto-pedestrian accident

The Suffolk Police Department is investigating an accident involving a passenger vehicle that struck a pedestrian on Friday night.
The accident happened at 9:33 p.m. An Acura passenger vehicle was traveling eastbound in the 100 block of East Constance Road when it struck an adult female in the middle of the crosswalk, according to a city press release.
The driver, an adult male, remained on scene.
The woman was transported by ground ambulance to a hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening.
The roadway was closed until 11:21 p.m.
The investigation is ongoing.
