Nansemond-Suffolk Academy’s softball team defeated John A. Holmes High School on the road on Saturday in a double-header.

The Lady Saints won 15-6 in the first game and 16-1 in the second.

Emerson Puzey pitched the first game is now 2-1 for the season. She had nine strikeouts and went 3-for-3 at bat, with 3 RBIs.

Reese Byrd pitched the second game and got her third win of the season. She went 3-for-3 at bat, with 3 RBIs. Delaney Taylor also had a perfect game in the batter’s box, and she drove in two runs in three at-bats.

NSA combined for 38 hits and 31 runs on the day.

The Lady Saints will play Norfolk Collegiate at home next Tuesday, April 4, at 4:30 p.m.
