Following are this week’s nominees for the Duke Automotive-Suffolk News-Herald Player of the Week:

Abby Herrod, junior, NSA soccer: Herrod scored six goals and totaled six assists helping the Lady Saints soccer team to a 2-0 week in which both games were shutouts.

Cydney Nichols, senior, KFHS soccer: Nichols scored four goals for the Lady Bulldogs soccer team in a win over Great Bridge.

Erin Bonney, senior, NRHS tennis: Bonney won her singles and doubles matches against Hickory High School, helping the Warriors to a 3-0 start.
