Locally owned and operated Hi-Ho Silver will celebrate its 15th anniversary March 9-11.

What began as a traveling business in 1987 has become a prominent brick-and-mortar member of the retail landscape, since it’s first location in Hilton Village in 2002.

Owners Chris and Leslie Sink have grown the business to now include stores in North Suffolk, Newport News, Williamsburg and Virginia Beach.

Hi-Ho Silver works directly with silversmiths in Taxco, Mexico. The company has grown to now sell jewelry from other national brands as well, such as Alex and Ani, Kameleon, Southern Gates and many more.

“Offering popular national branded lines gave the customers more to choose from, as well as utilizing their advertising dollars,” Chris Sink stated in a press release.

Hi-Ho Silver does more than just provide a wide variety of jewelry and gifts. The company vision is to provide Sterling Service to its customers and community. Giving back to its communities through charitable donations keeps Hi-Ho Silver in touch with what is important, company officials said.

“Hi-Ho Silver has donated jewelry to nearly every fundraising event from Williamsburg to Virginia Beach” Leslie Sink added. “Part of our success has been from our ‘pay-it-forward’ mentality of giving back to the communities that are so good to us.”

Continuing in that vein, in lieu of hosting a large anniversary party, the company will be donating $2,000 to local women’s shelters: The Menchville House in Newport News, The Avalon Center in Williamsburg, The Genieve Shelter in Suffolk and The Samaritan House in Virginia Beach, according to the press release.

Hi-Ho Silver’s Suffolk location is at 2944 Bridge Road.
