Local business owners have left a shaved ice franchise and struck out on their own under a new name.
Jedidiah and Lennie Behe, who owned several Pelican’s franchises, have started Lil’ Yeti Snoballs and will be operating in the same locations on Pruden Boulevard, along with North Suffolk and Chesapeake.
They hope to open for the season by the end of February or beginning of March.
“We’re going to try to get ahead of the game this year,” Jedidiah Behe said.
They will have the same products and flavors, along with some new creations, Behe said. Only the name and logo have changed.
“We want our customers to know it’s still us,” Lennie Behe said.
The menu includes more than 100 flavors, and many toppings are available to enhance the experience, including sweetened condensed milk, sour spray, Hershey’s syrup and gummies.
