ReadyRosie, an online resource that gives access to daily activities for adults to do with children from infancy through third grade, has been made available free to Suffolk residents through a partnership between the Suffolk Department of Social Services, Early Childhood Development Commission, Suffolk Public Library, and Suffolk Public Schools.

The activities are simple and draw upon everyday scenarios to make them relatable and easy to implement. Each activity is modeled on a two-minute video.

Suffolk residents can register for free using their Suffolk zip code. To register for children from infancy through preschool age, visit www.readyrosie.com/register. A similar resource is also available for children from kindergarten age through third grade at www.bringingup.com/register.

Email newsletter signup

Upon registration, adults can choose to receive a weekly email and/or SMS text message with an activity they can do at home or school with their child or children.

Each message will contain an activity modeled on video in English, a similar activity modeled on video in Spanish, and an expert video to help explain the why behind the activity.

Ready Rosie is a free tool that will allow families to support their child’s growth and development. These videos will not only support families, but prepare children for school and for life.
