Following are this week’s nominees for the Duke Automotive-Suffolk News-Herald Player of the Week:

Asia Crocker, junior for Nansemond River High School track: Crocker had six top three finishes in the VHSL Conference 10 Championships for Nansemond River. She placed first in the 300-meter dash and high-jump. She placed second in the long-jump and triple-jump.

Raemaad Wright, senior for King’s Fork High School basketball: In a win over Hertford County in the King’s Fork Showcase, Wright scored 24 points and grabbed 21 rebounds to help the Bulldogs to a win.
