As Suffolk prepares for the major snow storm expected Friday and Saturday, various closings and cancellations already have been announced. Among them:

• The Suffolk Visitor Center, Suffolk Executive Airport and Suffolk Animal Care Center all will be closed on Saturday.
• The Southeastern Public Service Authority’s regional landfill in Suffolk will be closed on Saturday.
• Suffolk Parks and Recreation has canceled all activities that had been planned for Saturday.
• Suffolk Public Schools have announced that all activities planned for Saturday have been canceled.
