Windsor native Ryan Hewitt has joined Community Electric Cooperative as an entry-level trainee.

Hewitt is a recent graduate of the Southside Virginia Community College Power Line Worker Training School. As an entry-level trainee, he will be enrolled in the Cooperative’s Lineman Apprenticeship Program to gain experience and learn to safely perform tasks associated with the construction, maintenance, and operations of the cooperative’s electric distribution line facilities, cooperative officials stated in a press release.

CEC President and Chief Executive Officer Steven Harmon said, “We are confident that Ryan will be a vital asset to the cooperative as he takes on this new challenge.”

Headquartered in Windsor, Community Electric Cooperative has a payroll of 34 construction and office employees and serves approximately 11,000 accounts throughout the Suffolk, Isle of Wight, Southampton, Sussex and Surry.
