Kimberly M. Bazemore

Kimberly M. Bazemore, 47, of the 2200 block of Kentucky Avenue, transitioned to her heavenly home on Sunday, Dec. 25, 2016.  She was born on Jan. 23, 1969, in Suffolk.

She was predeceased by her maternal grandmother, Della Boykins; paternal grandmother, Annie Maude Bazemore-Moore; aunt, Denise A. Moore; brother, Terry T. Hardy; and nephew, Travis L. Mayo, Jr.

Kimberly was a member of Greater Sweet Beulah Apostolic Church. She was a part of Southeastern VA Training Center and Residential and Day Support of Western Tidewater Community Services, where she was acknowledged for many of her achievements over the years of training she received through their excellent programs.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her mother, Lucille Bazemore-Mundon (Douglas); father, Phillip L. Bazemore (Althea); sisters, Shawana Bazemore-Mayo (Travis), Aprell C. Skinner (Craig), Audrey D. Bazemore-Patterson (Lawrence), Toni T. Edmonds; honoree sister, Shameka Richardson (Reggie); and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Ms. Bazemore visitation will take place from 3 to 7 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. A celebration of life service will take place at 1 p.m. Saturday at Sweet Beulah Pentecostal Holiness Church, and she will be laid to rest at Carver Memorial Cemetery.
