Mary Josephine Holland Goode

Mary Josephine Holland Goode, 93, went home to be with the Lord on Dec. 3, 2016. She was born to Patrick and Josephine Holland. She is predeceased by her parents; a sister, Virginia Peace; a brother, Joseph Holland; her husband, Ernest R. Goode Sr.; and her daughter, Sandra E. Brown.

She leaves to mourn, her daughters, LaVerne Nicholson and Angela V. Goode, of Suffolk; a son, Ernest R. Goode Jr. (Linda), of Mesquite, Texas; four grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; and a host of loving relatives and friends.

A home going service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, at East End Baptist Church, Suffolk, with Dr. Wayne D. Faison officiating. Interment will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens.
