Richmond Crenshaw Edwards Sr., 75, entered into eternal rest on Nov. 23, 2016, at his residence. He was born on June 9, 1941.

He accepted Christ at a young age and was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Outreach Center. Crenshaw loved to spend time with his wife, kids and grandchildren.

Crenshaw was not a man of many words but, being around him, you could feel the love he had for everyone.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Martha Edwards, and his younger brother, Ray Edwards.

Left behind to cherish his loving memory is his loving wife of 20 years and caregiver, Christine E. Edwards; brother, John Edwards; two sons, Richmond Edwards Jr. (Sonya), of Florida, and Steven Edwards (Jasmine), of North Carolina; three daughters, Nekisha Y. Eason, Kimberly M. Eason and Kristen L. Eason; 11 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and a host of family members and friends.

Mr. Edwards’ visitation will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 30, at the funeral home. A celebration of life service will take place at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 1, at the funeral home chapel, and he will be laid to rest at Carver Memorial Cemetery.
