Margie Delores Norman

Margie Delores Norman, 70, of Newport News, transitioned Saturday, Oct. 22, 2016, at Riverside Regional Hospital in Newport News. She was a native of Nansemond County and the daughter of the late Willie White and Julia Ann Copeland White. She was preceded in death by her husband, Maskel Riddick; two daughters, Muriel Norman and Betty Jean Norman; two sons, Eric Norman and Demetrius Norman; and sister, Dorothy Chapman.

She leaves to cherish her memory five daughters, Alice Norman Arrington, Malinda Norman, Tonya Norman, Donnika Norman, all of Newport News, and Anita Goings (Antonio Johnson), of Hampton; one son, Michael Norman, of Suffolk; one sister, Phyllis Ann Elliott, of Suffolk; 14 grandchildren, Dirus Norman, of Newport News, Montie Norman, of Suffolk, Jerome Norman, of Newport News, Vinette Davis, of Suffolk, Abdullah Norman, Percy Norman, Deonta Norman, all of Newport News, Jasmine Norman, of Henrico, Demetrius Norman, Ketron Norman, of Newport News, Katron Norman, of Portsmouth, Antonio Goings, Orlando Goings and LaRon White, of Hampton; 22 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28, 2016, at Greater First Baptist Church Orlando officiated and eulogized by the Rev. Eula Marshall and where the Rev. Moses Ware is the pastor. Interment will be in Carver Memorial Cemetery. Condolences to the family may be extended to www.crockerfuneralhome.com.
