Darran Butts, junior for King’s Fork High School football: Butts rushed for 259 yards and three touchdowns in a Thursday night win against rival Lakeland High School. Butts had touchdown runs of 60 and 65 yards. He has had back-to-back 200-plus yard rushing games.

Ashlyn Rogers, junior for Nansemond River High School field hockey: Rogers had a hat trick in a dominating 9-0 Lady Warriors field hockey win over Bethel High School last Monday evening.

Sydney Beale, sophomore for Lakeland High School field hockey: Beale had two goals and five assists in a dominating Lady Cavs 13-0 victory over Booker T. Washington.

Owen Firnstahl, junior for Nansemond-Suffolk Academy soccer: Firnstahl scored four goals in a 6-1 NSA boys’ soccer win over Peninsula Catholic.
