‘Bundled payments’ seminar planned
Published 10:25 pm Thursday, September 15, 2016
Lake Prince Woods will hold a seminar on bundled payments for heath care improvement at 2 p.m. Sept. 22.
Brad Currin, practice manager with Bon Secours Health System, will lead the discussion on health care changes that will assist your decisions regarding care. Bundled payments, an initiative from the Center of Medicare and Medicaid Innovation, affect the way health care services will be offered.
Package prices are a familiar concept for consumers. In health care, that might mean creating incentives for health care providers to improve the continuity and coordination of care, leading to better patient outcomes and lower costs.
A bundled payment is a single payment to providers or health care facilities for all services to treat a given condition or provide a given treatment.
The public is invited to attend the information session to learn how bundled payments may affect you and your care. Register by contacting Kaye Albin at 923-5504 or kalbin@uchas.org.
