Player of the week nominees

Following are this week’s nominees for the Duke Automotive-Suffolk News-Herald Player of the Week:
Damontra Milteer, senior for Lakeland High School football: Milteer put up yet another solid performance for the 2-0 Cavaliers. In their win against Western Branch, Milteer had 28 rushes for 164 yards.
Justin German, junior for King’s Fork High School football: German had 274 total yards and three touchdowns for the Bulldogs in their 31-14 Friday win over Hickory. As the man under center for the Bulldogs, German rushed for 91 yards and threw for 183. The Bulldogs are 2-0 on the year now.
Lauren Meyers, sophomore for Nansemond-Suffolk Academy field hockey: Meyers scored a team-high three goals in a 12-0 win against Southampton High School Wednesday. NSA field hockey is 4-2 on the year so far.
