H. Glen Presson will assume the role of manager of operations at Community Electric Cooperative in Windsor.
Presson brings more than 27 years of electrical distribution experience to the position, as well as four years of service in the U.S. military.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from June 1985 until June 1989. He then started his career at Community Electric Cooperative working in the right-of-way crew and in 1994 entered into the Lineman Apprenticeship Program. He topped out as journeyman lineman in 1998 and progressed further into the position of lead lineman in 2006.
“We are confident that Glen’s knowledge and experience in electric distribution, along with his supervisory experience being a lead lineman over the past 10 years, will serve our cooperative well in moving the operations department to new heights,” CEC president and chief executive officer Steven A. Harmon said. “We are very pleased that Glen has accepted this new challenge.”
Presson begins his new position Sept. 5.
Headquartered in Windsor, Community Electric Cooperative is a not-for-profit member-owned energy provider that serves nearly 11,000 homes, farms and businesses in the counties of Isle of Wight, Southampton, Surry and Sussex and the city of Suffolk.
