To the editor:

My parents will have been married 70 years on Aug. 23. Congratulations to a couple staying together for all those years and raising five children.

Unfortunately, due to Alzheimer’s disease, my dad doesn’t even know anyone.

Let’s all get behind the 2016 Walk to End Alzheimer’s. This is a horrible disease for everyone involved. Awareness and research are needed to make a difference.
