Lake Prince Woods has partnered with the Suffolk Library to establish a book club.
The first reading will be Agatha Christie’s “Murder on the Orient Express,” and the club will meet from 11 a.m. to noon Aug. 25 at Lake Prince Woods, 100 Anna Goode Way, for the discussion.
Among the benefits of joining a book club, Lake Prince officials stated:
Community: It expands your horizons and exposes you to reading material that you might not otherwise read. You get to learn about others’ experiences and leave your worries at the doorstep as you indulge in these new opportunities.
Intellectual stimulation: A book club will keep you in touch with the world. You’ll read about life in different cultures and societies.
Friendship: Friendship, caring, laughs and the opportunity to share thoughts without feeling foolish or inhibited.
A break from everyday life: Books and book clubs pull you up out of your everyday world and help you escape on a journey into something rich and wonderful.
