A Suffolk man has been arrested on charges of abuse and neglect of children after police say he was driving drunk with a 2-year-old in the car.
A Suffolk police officer responded to the McDonald’s in the 600 block of North Main Street just after 9 p.m. May 7 on a report of a suspicious person falling asleep in the drive-through, according to city spokeswoman Diana Klink.
Dominique Lamont Pray, 22, was arrested on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol, drinking while operating a motor vehicle and refusing a blood or breath test, Klink said. A 2-year-old boy was found in the back seat of the vehicle, and arrest warrants were later issued for abuse and neglect of children with reckless disregard, Klink said.
Child Protective Services was notified, and a family member picked up the child from the restaurant, Klink said.
