“It was a straight blowout,” Coach Gabe Rogers said.

KateLynn Hodgkiss, Kelly Lafferty, Calah Savage and Ashlyn Rogers all had two scores on the evening.

“The seniors make it special,” Rogers said. “We have seven seniors and they have all been on varsity for four years. They are a great group of girls who grew up playing together.”

Nansemond River plays a home non-conference game against Warwick High School on Friday. Rogers feels good about his team.

“I feel pretty confident about most of our games, though in the field of play anything can happen.”

The Lady Warriors are currently on a three-game winning streak with the best overall record in their conference at 9-2.
