Miss Hannah Marie York, daughter of Cynthia Marie York and Paul Douglass York, of Suffolk, has been selected finalist for Virginia’s 36th annual Homecoming Queen Selection to be held May 14, 2016, at the Holiday Inn Tanglewood in Roanoke.

York is the Nansemond River High School Homecoming Queen.

Virginia’s 2016 Homecoming Queen will receive a cash scholarship plus an all-expense-paid trip to the National Finals to compete with the queens from the other states for America’s Homecoming Queen.

America’s Homecoming Queen Inc. is a nonprofit organization promoting education, educational travel, and community service in all 50 states.
