NSA takes third in soccer tourney

The Nansemond-Suffolk Academy girls’ soccer team triumphed 3-0 against Grafton High School on Thursday to take third place in the Christine Garvey Memorial Tournament.

Scoring the goals for the Lady Saints were Alivia Giles, Abby Herrod and Kelly Hogan.

On Wednesday, NSA defeated Poquoson High School 2-0, getting goals from Herrod and Giles.

In their first game of the season and the tournament, the Lady Saints fell 4-2 to Warhill High School.

The goal scorers for Nansemond-Suffolk were Herrod and Drew Edwards.

NSA (2-1) will host Steward School on Tuesday, the Beach Breakers on Wednesday and Northampton High School Thursday.
