Emser Tile has completed lease negotiations for a build-to-suit lease of 401,066 square feet in the CenterPoint Intermodal Center.
The building will serve as the Los Angeles-based company’s East Coast distribution center.
Emser designs, markets and produces tile and natural stone and is a comprehensive source for interior and exterior products using those materials.
Construction of the new building is expected later this year, according to a press release from Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer, which represented Emser in the deal. Negotiating for the tenant were William C. Throne and Mark Collins.
The CenterPoint development has also grown recently, with the purchase by CenterPoint Properties of the nearby Virginia Commerce Center, located at 375 Kenyon Road.
Virginia Commerce Center is a 385,320-square-foot Class A distribution property situated on 44.49 acres. CenterPoint Properties bought it as an investment, according to a press release from Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Bobby Phillips and William Throne of Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer provided Virginia market and leasing support to Cushman & Wakefield, which handled sale negotiations on behalf of the seller.
