Suffolk police have identified the victim of a Friday night shooting as 23-year-old Aaron L. Hunter of Suffolk.

Hunter was shot in the 2500 block of East Washington Street, at Wilson Pines Apartments. He was declared dead at the scene. Another 23-year-old male victim was treated and released at the scene, according to Suffolk spokesman Tim Kelley.

Suffolk police are investigating Hunter’s death as a homicide, Kelley stated in a press release.
